Perfect for when you want something delicious and healthy but it’s not yet time for lunch. It’s a slightly sweet companion to a cup of coffee. Nutritious, quick to make, easy to take on the go, rich in protein and, of course, very tasty protein balls with cricket flour. There’s no added sugar and it’s suitable for those who are gluten intolerant. A real nutrient bomb! It’s no secret that snacking on high-calorie and nutrient lacking foods are not part of a healthy diet. A great way to always have a healthy snack is to prepare them in advance and have them on hand. These protein balls with cricket flour are perfect for that! Thanks to the cricket flour used, it will be not only delicious, but also full of protein, iron and other essential minerals.

You will need:

  • 3 spoons dried cricket flour
  • 9 pitted dates
  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 2 spoons chia seeds
  • 3 spoons coconut oil
  1. Pour hot water over dates (just enough to soak) and let sit for at least a few hours. It is best to prepare them the day before.
  2. Grind all the ingredients with a food processor into small, sticky crumbs.
  3. From the resulting mass, form balls by hand. Once formed, roll them in coconut flour, cocoa powder, matcha powder, almond flour or even cricket flour.
  4. Store the prepared balls in the refrigerator.
